Payment Authorization & Security Deposit Policy

Effective Date: August 20, 2026. Version 1.0. This policy explains when a payment method may be stored, how security deposits and payment authorizations work, and which charges may be applied after a rental.

Payment processing

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Go Velior Rental Cars LLC does not directly store full card numbers or card security codes when a payment is processed by Stripe. Further detail is available on our Payment Security page.

Security deposits and payment authorizations

A security deposit or a payment authorization hold may be required before the vehicle is released. The amount is not fixed; it is determined for each rental and disclosed before the rental begins, based on factors including:

  • The vehicle or vehicle category
  • The customer profile and verification outcome
  • The rental duration
  • The payment method presented
  • The insurance or protection product selected
  • Risk assessment applicable to the rental

A deposit or authorization is not a payment for services. It secures amounts that may become due under the rental agreement. Any unused portion is released or refunded after the vehicle is returned and the rental is closed.

The time required for a released deposit or authorization hold to become available again depends on your bank, card issuer, payment network and payment processor. Go Velior Rental Cars LLC does not control those timelines and does not guarantee a specific release time.

Charges that may occur after your rental

Certain charges may be applied after you are no longer actively using our website — for example after the vehicle has been returned — using the payment method you authorized. These are merchant-initiated charges associated with a specific rental relationship. They are not recurring subscriptions and no membership or periodic fee is created.

Such charges may result from:

  • Toll usage
  • Vehicle damage
  • Fuel
  • Late return
  • Extraordinary cleaning
  • Lost keys
  • Missing equipment
  • Parking violations
  • Traffic-related charges
  • Administrative expenses associated with those charges
  • Other amounts explicitly permitted by the rental agreement

The amount of any such charge is based on the actual rental agreement, documented costs, applicable fees and/or legally permitted charges. Amounts that are not defined in advance are disclosed in the rental agreement. Go Velior Rental Cars LLC does not apply arbitrary fees.

Notification and documentation

When a post-rental charge is applied, we provide the customer with the charge amount and the supporting basis for it, such as a toll statement, damage assessment, fuel or cleaning record, or the applicable clause of the rental agreement. Customers may request this documentation at any time by contacting support@govelior.com.

Withdrawing consent

A customer may ask us to stop storing a payment method for future use by writing to support@govelior.com. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not cancel amounts already due under a rental agreement, and it does not remove our right to collect those amounts by other lawful means. Where an active rental requires a valid payment method on file, an alternative payment method may be required.

Disputes and chargebacks

If you disagree with a charge, contact us first so we can review it with you. Where a chargeback is initiated for an amount that is authorized under the rental agreement, Go Velior Rental Cars LLC may submit the rental agreement, the recorded authorization consent and the supporting cost documentation to the payment processor and card issuer.
